The 8th of August marks the end of our second contest, the "One Liner Haiku" contest. It is also the day after DA's birthday and the DA joining anniversary of our admin, =Iscariot-Priest and the ever delicious `Beccalicious. Meaningful date indeed.





The big idea

Seeing all these anniversaries are happening, our theme will be "Anniversary". As the concept is a rather human one, we'd like you to keep that in mind and write using the senryu form. Size wise, it's like haiku, but puts emphasis on people and the funny little hang ups that make up the human condition.

Not sure the difference between haiku and senryu? This simple guide may help, but feel free to interpret what goes into "human-nature" poem yourself. Points for creativity.


What we want:

As always, prize pledges of any sort would be great

Ideally, the results will be out by Monday. There's been a pretty good turn out thus far, with nearly 20 entries. Remember, the contest ends in tomorrow, so you can still enter!
